Animals & Rural Life

Animals are an important part of my visual language. I paint domestic birds such as chickens, geese, ducks, and turkeys, along with other creatures like cats and bees. These subjects originate from my rural childhood and remain closely connected to memory. Earlier works focused on single figures. In my current practice, I often create larger compositions where multiple elements exist together. This approach reflects textile thinking, where rhythm and repetition shape the structure of the image.

I am interested in movement, rhythm, and small gestures that bring energy and life into the composition. These subtle actions create continuity and presence. These works are not illustrations of animals, but observations of everyday life and domestic environments. They also hold a sense of memory and belonging - a quiet emotional reference to places associated with care, familiarity, and grounding.
