Textile is the sphere of my creativity, where I feel the most comfortable and organic with my process. The theoretical knowledge of all types of folk weaving, the history of its origin and formation, paired with my own practical experience, allow me to operate freely in creating extraordinary modern woven fabrics, which are not only a decoration, but a unique accent to any space.

The harmony of colours, unexpected combinations of techniques and natural materials, compositional variability, nuance and contrast, static and dynamic – all allow me to express myself in the textiles, uniquely every time.

Weaving has so much potential to produce new ideas and it can simply capture your own imagination, without a fight. From the original concept to the finished product, the process itself is so fascinating that I occasionally create a work eagerly in one sitting, because I never know the outcome for certain.

Textile is similar to watercolour – it can be subtly and gently blurred with water or focused and detailed with colour and tone, down to the finest detail. Therefore, when creating a tapestry, I feel like a fish in an infinite ocean, filled with content, creativity and ideas.

Work on tapestries takes a long time because each individual thread must be placed in a composition a thousand times with my fingers, passing through the strings of the stretched base, while also passing through the prism of my own imagination - devoting my energy and investment into the piece, thread by thread, by my soul.

Although the niche of creative weaving is poorly filled and lacks development in Canada, I want my audience to see how lovely and modern it is to have one of my beautiful works in their homes.
